Last Tuesday we had 5 events in one evening. It was go go go go go go go. Today, I walked my dog, responded to emails in the ☀️ and picked up my kids early. So grateful for both kinds of days!!!

Meet us for Mahj @ the Hill Center! Every other Wednesday, we’ll meet in the Walt Whitman room in the Historic Hill Center on Capitol Hill! We FINALLY added a new level called, “Guided Play” (5.20 + 6.17) that is perfect for people that have had a lesson but are ready for the next step. You’ll get expert Charleston guidance, and reminders about those easy to forget rules. We’ll also have beginner lessons (5.6, 6.3 and 7.1) if you’re new to the game. Our DC Mahj tree will be listed on the @caseytrees interactive map once it’s planted and I hope you all will visit it! I’ve requested a spot that would be nice to play a game or two or TEN under. If you’re new around here, we donate a percentage of our profits every month to a local non-profit. @caseytrees has been doing incredible work for many many years and I even worked with them during my teaching career. I’m so grateful to be able to support them and plant a tree that will be around for years and years to come. My hope is that this tree is a symbol of the joy and community that has grown here 🩵 - thanks for helping me cultivate both!

When I talked to @shop_spools about his fun tiles he mentioned they were light but really, they are so light!!!!! As someone who carts 8-10 sets to multiple events weekly, these are a game changer! I see it all the time, a beginner selects a concealed hand because of the tiles they were dealt. Concealed hands don’t need to be off limits but I always suggest having 1-2 pivot hands in mind if trying for one! This year, there are less sections with concealed hands BUT 13579 has two 🤯. Always double check for an X or a C at the end of your line to be sure!

That’s it, that’s all!!! Oh and get out there and enjoy the sunshine today if you can!
